VISITES COMENTADES

ACVIC has a regular exhibition schedule that changes on a quarterly basis, and also offers a guided visits service aimed at bringing art closer to visiting groups, adding to participants’ basic cultural knowledge, and encouraging them to exercise a critical perspective.
All visits are complemented by an educational activity, which aims to provide a playful, more curiosity-driven experience of the exhibition’s content.

GROUP WORKSHOPS

activitats so del lloc br1. THE SOUNDS OF PLACES
About sound perception

This workshop will begin with a series of short activities on sound perception to activate the sense of hearing, and to experiment with unusual ways of perceiving our environment. What does a tree trunk sound like? What about a metallic bench? Or dry leaves? A collective mural will maintain a record of this concert of urban sounds.

The workshop will take place in the park next to ACVIC.

Duration: 90 mins.
Educational stage: Early childhood education
Group: Classroom groups

activitats resseguir br2.FOLLOWING THE PATH WITH YOUR FINGER
About maps

Is the perception of our environment changing? Does everyone perceive it the same way? Why do we understand our environment as something immovable? Inalterable? How do we experience the city? How do we travel through it? Does everyone in a city feel represented? Throughout history, there has been a recurring interest in representing reality in the form of plans and maps, which seek to be as objective as possible. But are they?

Duration: 90 mins.
Educational stage: Primary and Secondary Education. The project is adapted to various educational stages.
Group: Classroom groups

activitats jo public br3. THE PUBLIC SELF
Identity and networks

What do I show of myself to others? What do I hold back? What image do I show on social media? Should everyone see me the same way?
Based upon these questions, an intervention, taking the form of a collage using images taken from magazines and social media networks, will be produced.

Duration: 90 mins
Educational stage: Secondary
Education Group: Classroom groups

activitats mapes br4. MAPS
Cartographies and photographs

A cultural leisure activity employing photography in the urban environment. It is offered to special education groups, groups with functional diversity, or at risk of social exclusion. MAPS offers a meaningful group experience that combines contemporary art with audiovisual education. It offers a playful, curiosity-driven way of supplementing audiovisual education with the world of cartography. Participants will learn and find out more about their surroundings and their environment, will learn skills enabling them to orientate themselves within a general location, and will learn how to build relationships and communicate among themselves.

Duration: 2 sessions of 90mins
Educational stage: Groups with special educational needs
