INTRODUCTION
A workshop bridging art and pedagogy, which will focus on how to shape an artistic project in the classroom.
Jordi Lafon, an active artist, will introduce the world of contemporary art in order to provide tools to educators, so they may understand artistic techniques, and how these may be deployed in the school context.
This workshop is linked to the Art and School programme, and also aims to promote interdisciplinary projects. Different educational stages, from nursery to primary and secondary school, will be taken into account.
COURSE CONTENTS
The workshop will be divided into two parts:
1. How an artistic project is created and formulated.
Developing listening skills and experimenting with art education resources for all ages, looking for tools to help uncover students’ creative potential.
2. Tools and materials:
When and why techniques are used. Exploring the possibilities of working tools and materials, from using pictorial visual arts techniques and exercises in volume, to using digital techniques, techniques of physical expression, as well as live performance, textual, video and photographic techniques.
WHO IS IT AIMED AT?
Addressed to pre-school, primary and secondary school teachers who attended the 8th edition of Art and School, since course contents will be linked to the Art and School proposal for the 2017-18 course.
Also open to other professionals in the field of education, teachers, students, and all those interested in the field of art and education, and who may wish to explore the possibilities of art as an educational tool.
Teaching staff linked to Art and School will have priority in enrolment.
