INTRODUCTION
Would you like to create your own artist book? Discovering a landscape, looking at, feeling, observing, reimagining it, will constitute the primary focus of a workshop designed to awaken your perception and creativity through collective experience and interaction with the world around us. Discover different places in city and countryside, expressing your tours within your own artist's book.
COURSE CONTENTS
Tuesday 2nd September
Session 1 - First Glance
What is an artist's book? An explanation, and a look at books made by certain artists. We'll visit the exhibition Art + School + networks hosted by ACVic, discovering creative possibilities for the book itself.
We'll start to discover more about the immediate surroundings of the art centre through photography, collage and other ways. We'll begin the tour, and start to record it in our artists' books.
Wednesday 3rd September
2nd session - Trails and paths
We'll continue our journey, this time walking around town, observing those nooks and crannies which catch our attention with a different perspective. We'll follow the map, experimenting with different ways to represent the tour on the notebook.
Thursday September 4th
3rd session - The soundscape
We'll find out about the river, the surroundings of the town, and we'll listen to the landscape, playing with natural elements found all around us, narrating in sound, collage, language, onomatopoeia, etc..
Friday 5th September
4th session – Designing the exhibition at the Miniespai!
We'll organise the exhibition space together, where everyone's artist's book will be displayed and presented on Saturday.
Saturday 6th September
