Choosing love

4 September – 9 October 2026

Written—and lived—together by Maria Permanyer and Marc Lloret, Choosing Love is also a way of sharing some of Marc’s literary and musical works that never had the opportunity to be made public. Music—an essential part of Marc Lloret’s life and the very setting in which the couple’s love story unfolded—accompanies visitors wherever sight and words alone are not enough.

The exhibition features photographs and texts by Maria Permanyer Bailac; texts, audio recordings and music by Marc Lloret Isiegas; as well as music by Lucía Fumero, Joan Garriga, Maestro Espada, Mishima, Robe Iniesta, Los Toreros Muertos, and Marc Lloret in collaboration with Dani Vega and Pau Vallvé. Visitors will also encounter writings by Francesc Torralba, Rainer Maria Rilke and Viktor E. Frankl.

Choosing Love is an exhibition made by Maria Permanyer and Marc Lloret. It shows some of Marc’s writings and music that people have not heard before. Music is very important in Marc’s life. It also tells the story of their love. Music helps visitors understand the story when words and pictures are not enough.
