INTRODUCTION

Participants will awaken our perception and creativity, sharing games and experiencing through the senses. We will make use of games and of mutual learning in order to stimulate curiosity and the eagerness to observe and interact with others, and the world around us.

How do we perceive the world? Do we all see the same things, or can we imagine differently?

Awaken your critical spirit by experimenting with art!

COURSE CONTENT

The course will be a journey through the senses which help us understand the subjectivity of our perception of our surroundings, playing with the possibilities which art offers us.

An artist's book, created by each participant, will form the basis upon which to capture personal impressions of the group's experiences, and will serve as the vehicle from which to embark on the shared journey. Values such as team work, respect for the team and the surroundings, learning through experimentation and gaming, will guide our project.

- First session: Looking. Colour, light, volume, movement ... the individual and the group. Creating the artist's book.
Let's get to know each other!

- Second session: Listening. We'll take a walk around Vic, recording the sounds we come across on the way, and to use later in activities at the arts centre.
Let's get to know the town!

- Third session: Smelling. Making a mural together out of the tastes, the sounds, the colours, the densities , the textures ... of smells.
Let's get to know the arts centre! Guided visit and educacional activity related with the current exhibition at Acvic's

- Fourth session: Touching. Tactile games. Texture, material, skin. Understanding skin as an individual's protection, will help us to construct our shelter.
Let's build our own space!

- Fifth session: Tasting. Taste and colour. What if we taste without looking? Would you eat a blue biscuit? What would purple juice taste like?
Let's prepare a five-senses winding-up party with the weirdest tastes!

WHO IS IT AIMED AT?

Children from 6 to 10 years old, eager to enjoy themselves playing and experimenting with art.
