CREATIVE STILL LIFE, FROM THE OBJECT TO THE SYMBOLIC ARTIFACT

Summer Workshop for Young People

Tuesday 21.07.26
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Workshop with Partee

In this workshop, participants, working in groups, will create several still lifes together. They will use  natural elements or abandoned objects found in public spaces, which will be transformed and reinterpreted, turning them into symbolic artifacts, generating new meanings.

Using processes of observation, selection, and artistic intervention, young people will create collective compositions which will highlight the ways in which everyday objects may be re-signify by the use of creativity.

Workshop  participants will be invited to consider ways of converting seemingly banal elements into works of art, or communication tools with their own symbolic charge.

Registration open from June 18th to July 18th. Limited places. Places are reserved in order of registration.

Booking by phone or email at: 93 885 37 04 / This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Workshop Miniespai

Saturday 11.07.26
From 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
ACVIC Centre d’Arts Contemporànies

Graphic design can also become movement. In this workshop, participants will explore the expressive possibilities of colour, shape, composition, and typography through the creation of an abstract and hand-crafted stop motion animation.

Participants will learn how shapes relate to each other, how colours generate rhythm and emotion, and how arranging elements in space constructs meaning. Using simple materials, participants will experiment with silhouettes, coloured papers, letters, and light effects to create small animated sequences frame by frame.

The ACVIC Miniespai is an open space full of games, books, and picture books for exploring the creative possibilities of contemporary art.

 Who is it aimed at?
Families with children aged 5 to 10 years

A SENSE OF PLACE
Ludic Guided Visit
Saturday 13.06.26
11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.

 ACVIC Centre d’Arts Contemporànies

Part of the exhibition ART+ESCOLA+CONTACTE curated by  Nàbia Adillon and Montsita Rierola

A SENSE OF PLACE invites you to explore other ways of being together. Using small actions such as walks, gestures, words, silences, images, gazes, and forms of contact, participants will open up spaces of connection between the body and its presence. Performance art will serve as a tool for understanding how to approach, communicate, and share space using a variety of languages, visible and invisible.

Activities will involve observation, listening, movement, and touch broadening to also include a connection with objects and with the exhibition space, how we inhabit this space, how it transforms us, and how sometimes we can become part of the  living installation itself.

Summer art workshop for children aged 6 to 12

30.06 to 02.07.26
10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

INTRODUCTION

Based upon the universes suggested by the ART + SCHOOL + CONTACT exhibition, ACVIC proposes a short journey of artistic experimentation in which contact becomes central; contact with the body, with others, with objects, and with space.

“Contacting is letting the world touch us and, at the same time, learning to touch it in a different way.”

During the art workshop, participants will use postcards of artistic references as inspiration to learn various perspectives on what “contacting” really means.

Guided visits tho the ART+SCHOOL+CONTACT EXHIBITION

What if we were welcomed within a space, and art became a pretext for us to meet?

Contact is part of our everyday lives, but we do not always pay attention to it. The artworks show us different connections; with the body, with emotions, and also without words. Contact transforms, and leaves its mark.

Throughout the exhibition, visitors will not only observe, but will also participate; playing,  experimenting, and thinking about art.

Groups: The visit may be adapted to suit groups of preschool, primary, secondary, and higher education. These special visits are also offered to groups of informal education, social, cultural and leisure organisations, family associations, etc.

Approximate duration: 60 min (the visit is complemented with an educational activity).

The visit ends in the Minispace and the interactive room, where visitors may experiment with artistic techniques, and leave their marks.
